Oven/Microwave Combo Control Board
GE offers products under the Hotpoint, General Electric, and Sears-Kenmore brands. This control board, sold individually, serves as the main computer for microwaves, managing their primary functions. If your microwave displays an error code or fails to turn on, the control board may need replacement. Fortunately, this repair is straightforward.
First, ensure the microwave's circuit breakers are off. Open the microwave door and remove the screws securing the front vent. Use a putty knife to carefully pry off the vent. Next, unscrew the control assembly and lift it to detach. Take note of the wires connected to the control board and disconnect them. Remove the assembly and the four screws holding the control board. Disconnect the ribbon connector and remove the old board.
To install the new board, align it on the mounting plate and secure it with screws. Reconnect the wires to their correct terminals. Replace the control assembly and front vent.
This genuine OEM control board is compatible with GE, RCA, and Hotpoint brand microwaves.
