Washing Machine Control Board Assembly
GE brands, including Cafe, General Electric, Monogram, Haier, Hotpoint, and Profile, offer this OEM replacement part, which serves as the main control board for washers. This component manages the washer's functions by sending the necessary signals for operation. If your washer isn't turning on, spinning correctly, or washing effectively, it may be time to replace the control board.
Replacing the control board is straightforward. Begin by pulling the washer forward to access the back panel and remove the upper section. Push the front of the control panel and use a putty knife to lift it from the mounting brackets. Disconnect the wires from the old control board, taking a photo to remember their placement. Remove the mounting screws and release the locking tabs to extract the old board. Install the new board by securing it into the locking tabs and reconnecting the wires.
This genuine control board is sold individually and is compatible with GE, Hotpoint, RCA, and Sears/Kenmore brand washers.
