Refrigerator/Freezer Ice Bucket Auger
If your icemaker isn't dispensing ice, this part can help. Compatible with GE products, including Hotpoint, General Electric, and Sears-Kenmore, this ice bucket auger is an authentic OEM replacement for your refrigerator's freezer section. The auger functions by rotating and breaking up the ice in the bucket.
To replace the auger, follow these steps:
1. Pull out the ice bucket assembly.
2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the cover, shield, and actuator arm bracket.
3. Unhook the spring holding the arm in place and remove the arm.
4. Pry off the e-clip and washer with your screwdriver.
5. Use a wrench to detach the auger from its housing.
Note that this part includes only the auger, not the entire assembly or housing.
