Main Control Board for Refrigerators
The main control board is a critical component for refrigerators, managing key operations such as cooling and defrosting. A common indicator of a faulty control board is an increased internal temperature within the refrigerator compartments. Additionally, the refrigerator might not defrost effectively, potentially causing leaks and other problems.
For installation, first disconnect the refrigerator from its power source. The control board is typically located in the back-right corner of the refrigerator. Begin by removing the screws that secure the panel housing and then slide off the access panel. Next, disconnect the wires connected to the control board and remove the screws that hold it in place. To install a new board, follow these instructions in reverse order.
This genuine OEM control board is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold as a standalone item, without additional components. It is specifically designed for use with GE appliances, including brands like Hotpoint, General Electric, and Sears-Kenmore.
