Refrigerator Plastic Water Filter Adapter

This adapter has a diameter of 2.5 inches and is sold individually. It should be replaced if your refrigerator stops dispensing water or making ice. Compatible with GE products, including Hotpoint, General Electric, and Sears-Kenmore.

When replacing the original metal canister design (Water by Culligan) filter for the first time, this adapter must be installed. It is reusable, so you won't need to replace it with future filter changes. For filter order MWFP, the adapter is necessary. Order the water filter separately.

This adapter is required for replacing filters FXRC, FXRT, MXRC, HXRT, WR97X10006, or 46-9905. It allows older style filters to work with the newer MWF filter. This is a new, genuine GE replacement part.
