Washer/Dryer Combo Thermal Fuse

If your laundry machine fails to start, or if it doesn't heat properly or sufficiently, you might need to replace the thermal fuse. This part is compatible with GE brand models, including Hotpoint, General Electric, and some Sears-Kenmore units. Located within the dryer's assembly, the thermal fuse is a resettable component designed to monitor temperature levels. It cuts off power to prevent fabric damage or fire hazards if it detects excessive heat.

A thermal fuse may become problematic due to issues that impair its ability to detect and react to overheating, often after prolonged periods of use.

Indications of a defective thermal fuse are:

- Drying cycles continuing beyond the maximum heat setting
- Heating elements engaging while the air circulation is off
- The appliance operating longer than usual for loads with low moisture

This GE replacement part is also suitable for use with Hotpoint, RCA, and select Kenmore models.

This component addresses problems such as inadequate or absent heating.
