5220FR2008C LG Cold Water Inlet Valve

Replace the cold water inlet valve assembly if your washing machine continues to fill with water. This part is compatible with LG and Sears-Kenmore models. It is an OEM replacement part, directly sourced from the manufacturer for use in washing machines.

The water inlet valve controls the flow of water into the washer. When you set the wash cycle, the solenoid activates, opening the valve to allow hot, cold, or both types of water to fill the tub. Once the tub reaches the desired level, the valve closes to stop the water flow. If the valve malfunctions, it may cause continuous filling, leading to potential flooding, or it may prevent water from entering the washer altogether.

To replace this part, you will need a Phillips screwdriver and pliers. Begin by disconnecting the power and turning off the water supply. Remove the back panel of the washer to access the inlet valve. Disconnect the hoses and remove the faulty valve. Install the new valve, reconnect the hoses, and reattach the back panel. Finally, reconnect the water and power supplies.
