LG includes this 30-watt incandescent light bulb in its range of products, which also fits select Sears-Kenmore models. Designed to operate at 125 volts, this OEM replacement part mainly serves to light up the microwave's interior and the area beneath it when the door is open or while it's in use. If the light does not turn on when the door is opened, it may be time to replace the bulb. The bulb measures about 1" x 2.5" and can be easily installed.

Before attempting to replace the bulb, ensure safety by unplugging the microwave and allowing it some time to sit. This precaution helps to avoid the risk of electrical shock from capacitors, which can retain a charge even after the device is unplugged.
