Ice Machine Main Control Board
Whirlpool offers a range of brands, including Whirlpool, Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. Additionally, Whirlpool manufactures products for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. This part is a control board for an ice maker, acting as the main computer that manages the ice machine's functions.
To install this control board, first, unplug the ice maker and move it away from the wall. Unscrew the access cover to the control panel. Use a putty knife to remove the cover, then take out the screws that secure the top panel. With a nut driver, remove the rear panel. Lift the top panel and have someone hold it steady. Remove the screws that attach the control housing to the top panel. Once the control housing is free, take out the screws securing the grounding wire and set the panel aside.
Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unthread the screws holding the control board. Press the tab to release the board and note the orientation of the wire connectors before disconnecting them. Attach the wire connectors to the new control board and secure it in place. Reassemble the panels that were removed.
This genuine replacement control board is compatible with ice machines from Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore.
