This control knob, also referred to as a burn valve or burner knob, is designed to fit your stovetop or range, allowing you to adjust the heat of the surface burner.

Replacing the knob is straightforward and requires no tools. Simply lift the old knob straight up to remove it, then align the D-shaped shaft with the new knob and push it down. The knob is made of black plastic and is sold individually. You might want to check the condition of other knobs on your appliance to see if they also need replacement.
