The Dishwasher Pump and Motor Assembly with Capacitor is a key component for various dishwasher brands, including Frigidaire, Electrolux, and Sears-Kenmore. This OEM part ensures water is properly circulated to the spray arm, allowing the dishwasher to function effectively. Over time, the pump motor may wear out and need replacement. Fortunately, this task is manageable with some basic steps.

To replace the pump motor, first, disconnect the power supply and shut off the water valve. Remove the screws securing the lower access panel and disconnect the water supply line from the inlet valve. Next, remove the mounting screws from the junction box cover and note the wire orientation. Detach the drain hose from the sink or garbage disposal.

Open the dishwasher door, remove the mounting screws, and pull the dishwasher away from the cabinet. Unsnap the covers from the hinge ropes and disconnect them. Remove the screws securing the upper door panel. Carefully tilt the dishwasher back, detach the fill hose from its retaining clip, and disconnect it from the sump.

Uninstall the old circulation pump and align the new pump with the seal and sump. Tighten the clamp and transfer the wires to the new pump. Reinstall all previously removed panels. This genuine replacement part is compatible with dishwashers from Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse.
