WP8571916 Whirlpool Dryer Control Board and User Interface

This is a Whirlpool dryer control board and user interface. It is located behind the outer control panel on top of the dryer and is responsible for managing and monitoring the dryer’s cycles based on user input. The control board may short out due to power surges or exposure to excessive heat or moisture. If the dryer displays error code F-02, has a blank or dark display, or is unresponsive to user input, the control board likely needs replacement.

Before installing this part, ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power source and has cooled down completely. Move the dryer away from the wall to access the screws securing the outer control panel. Remove these screws to access the old control board. Disconnect any wire harnesses and remove any screws holding the board in place before installing the new control board.
