This component is suitable for use if your ice maker stops producing ice. Note that the new cover, ice level arm, and wire harness are not included, so you will need to reuse these parts from your existing ice maker.

Whirlpool brands that this part is compatible with include Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. Additionally, Whirlpool manufactures items for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. The Ice Maker WPW10190972 comes with the ice mold and control device. It receives water from the inlet valve, holds it in the mold until it freezes, and then ejects the ice. This cycle repeats until the ice storage bin is full.

Remember to use the wire harness, cover, and bail arm from your original ice maker.
