The Dishwasher Pump and Motor Assembly is a key component in many dishwashers, including those from Whirlpool, Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. Whirlpool also manufactures products for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. This part ensures water circulates through the dishwasher's spray arms. If the spray arms are not functioning correctly, it may be time to replace the pump and motor assembly.
To replace this part, first, unplug the dishwasher and shut off the water supply. Disconnect the drain line from the garbage disposal or sink drain. Open the dishwasher door and remove the bottom dish rack and the upper dishrack. Release the bottom spray arm and the feed tube clips. Using a nut driver, remove the bottom access panel and tow panel. Disconnect the power cable from the junction box and the supply line from the inlet valve. Pull the dishwasher out from the counter, tilt it on its side, and disconnect the hose from the drain pump. Remove the wire harness from the pump and disconnect the wires from the diverter motor and circulation motor. Tilt the dishwasher upright again and remove the old pump and motor assembly. Install the new assembly.
This replacement part is compatible with dishwashers from Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore.
