Range, Stove, and Oven Touchpad Switch Membrane
Whirlpool manufactures appliances under various brands, including Whirlpool, Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. They also produce items for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. This switch membrane, also known as a keypad, is designed for use with ovens, ranges, and stoves. Positioned at the center front of the appliance, it consists of multiple layers and functions as a switch to control the appliance’s power. The keypad features several buttons to select cooking settings, set temperatures, and adjust the appliance’s operation.
Regular use or damage can impair the switch membrane, resulting in unresponsive buttons or inability to power the appliance on or off. If these issues occur, replacing the switch membrane is necessary. To replace it, first, unplug the appliance. Remove the screws from the back, locate the side tabs, and press them to detach the housing. Remove the bottom screws to disconnect the ribbon connector, then replace the original part with the OEM replacement component.
This switch membrane is compatible with KitchenAid ranges, ovens, and stoves and is sold as a single part. It is an authentic OEM replacement, sourced directly from the manufacturer.
This part addresses the following issue:
- Unresponsive touchpad
