Refrigerator/Freezer User Control and Display Board
Whirlpool manufactures products under various brands, including Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. Additionally, Whirlpool produces items for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. The control box, designed specifically for freezers, houses the temperature controls, allowing users to adjust the cooling levels. It features buttons for setting and modifying the temperature and defrost cycles. If the freezer experiences cooling problems or malfunctions, the control box might be the issue.
To replace this component, you will need a flathead screwdriver and a ¼ socket or nut driver. Ensure the freezer is unplugged before starting the replacement process. Use the nut driver or socket to remove the screws from the access cover of the control box. Press the retaining tab to detach the inner cover and remove the old control box. Note the wire connections before disconnecting them. To install the new control box, connect the wires, align the board with the tabs, and snap it into place.
This control box is an authentic OEM replacement part, sold individually, and sourced directly from the manufacturer for Whirlpool freezers.
