Refrigerator Water Filter Cap
This Water Filter Cap is a necessary replacement part for various Whirlpool refrigerator models, including those from brands like Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. Additionally, it fits select refrigerators from Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. The cap features a black finish and has a diameter of about 2.5 inches. Typically located near the refrigerator's bottom kickplate, the cap secures the water filter in place and conceals its end.
To replace the filter, simply remove the kickplate and slide the cap off the filter. This allows for the filter to be taken out, often with the aid of channel locks to facilitate twisting. By pressing the adjacent button, the filter is released, enabling the cap to be moved from the old filter to a new one. Pliers may be helpful during this process. The cap is designed to be compatible with an array of refrigerator models from brands like Sears, Kenmore, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Estate, and Roper.
